1. Looks like we've got ourselves a convoy…well, almost as Gary Coles' custom T-cab, one of the undoubted Truckfest stars, depicts scenes and characters from the 1978 classic road movie. As enlightened readers will know the film was based on a song of the same name by (fictitious) Country and Western singer, C. W. McCall. So now we have a vehicle based on a movie based on a song…we're just left wondering what kind of trailer this truck comes with!

2. Here's an shot taken from the roof of the Scania show trailer. In case you don’t recognise it from the odd-angle, the truck in question is the new G-series tractor unit which made its debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show back in April.

3. There's no doubt that many Truckfest visitors would love to get their hands on this 620 horsepower V8 Griffin. But, of course, to do that you'd have to pass your test first – in which case, the truck on the right from the Scania Driver Experience fleet is the ideal place to start.

4. Vintage Roller: Truckfest isn't just about the newest, the biggest and the best, it's also a venue where many display their cherished trucks from days gone by – as this superbly restored Scania 141 belonging to Suffolk operator H. C. Wilson just goes to show.

5. Record crowds meant record sales for Scania's merchandising stall, which was crowded for the duration of the show as visitors queued three deep at times in order to stock up with the latest Scania Truck Gear.
