Downtime is the most expensive time of all! Your vehicle’s place is on the road earning, not running up costs in the workshop. Dismantling failed components and fitting new parts often costs a lot in downtime. Replacing the whole unit would be much quicker, but what about the cost? Well, that’s where Scania Service Exchange comes in.
Scania Service Exchange enables you to replace a failed component with a factory re-engineered equivalent. Better than a repair, the replacement is of the same high quality as a brand new Scania Part, but at a lower price - lower because we recycle those parts that have retained their original quality whilst replacing those that haven’t, failed or not, with brand new parts.

Unit Injectors
Poor injector operation impairs engine performance and fuel economy. For this reason, all the vital parts in an exchange injector are new. Every exchange injector is inspected on a test bench and rigorously examined to ensure that it complies with Scania’s stringent quality requirements. | Steering Gear
If your truck’s steering feels heavy, the steering gear may be worn. A steering gear is sensitive to particles of dirt and impurities. The safest and most economical solution is to install an exchange steering gear rather than try to repair the old one. |

Cylinder Heads
You can of course repair a cylinder head by fitting new seats, grinding the face and milling new gasket sealing grooves. But this all takes time. Opting for a re-engineered head from Scania Service Exchange saves a great deal of time and work, and guarantees that the product has no internal cracks or leaks. | Radiators
Once a radiator begins to suffer from corrosion, clogging or leakage, attempts at repair amount to little more than stop-gap solution. An exchange radiator has been factory re-engineered to the same exacting standards as a brand new radiator. |

Coolant Pumps
Damage due to overheating caused by a worn coolant pump can be expensive. An exchange pump with new bearings, seals, and gaskets guarantees the correct amount of coolant flows through the cooling system. | Turbochargers
Because a turbo runs at extremely high speed, it needs to be perfectly balanced. Scania Exchange turbos are re-engineered by specially trained staff with advanced balancing machines and deliver the same performance as a new turbo. |

Foot Brake Valves
Scania Exchange foot brake valves are factory re-engineered to give the same performance as new valves, helping to guarantee your own safety and the safety of others when out on the road. | Air Conditioning Compressor
A failing air conditioning compressor effects driver comfort, fuel economy and may lead to consequential damage. A re-engineered compressor with new bearing, seals and gaskets can spare you a long repair job and reduce downtime. |
30 Years Experience
The Scania Service Exchange programme has been operational for over 30 years which means we have an extraordinary depth of experience and expertise in re-engineering Scania parts to be good as new.
Dedicated Factory
The work is carried out at Scania’s dedicated re-engineering factory. Specialist Scania engineers are equipped with the appropriate training, tooling and testing facilities to ensure that our Service Exchange parts meet the same high level of quality control that we set for our new parts.
It Couldn’t Be Simpler
To benefit from a low price Scania Service Exchange component, we only ask one thing: that the failing component you return to us can be re-engineered. If the replacement is carried out at a Scania workshop, this exchange is arranged on site. If you buy the component over the counter and don’t bring the failed part there and then, we charge you a ”return unit cost”, which is refunded as soon as you return the old item for re-engineering. Simple!
12-Month Warranty
You also get the same 12-month warranty as a brand new part, valid everywhere and including labour when the job is carried out at a Scania Service Point. Scania Service Exchange includes most heavy engine, cooling system, fuel system, clutch, transmission, steering and electric components. The range also covers most variants within each group of components. For more information and full terms and conditions please contact your local Scania Service Point. They will be able to tell you in greater detail how Scania Service Exchange can benefit your business both financially and operationally.
