Various options for good roads, bad roads and no roads.

Whilst air suspension is likely to be the choice for the vast majority of highway applications, Scania continues to offer a full range of traditional steel suspension systems for on-off road work or where heavy loads are being carried at speed over poor road surfaces.

For many years, Scania has offered a simple two-bellows air suspension that provided an optimised balance of robustness, light weight and good load protection. Recently, the option of a four-bellows system has been introduced on some models.

As an alternative to full-air suspension, it is also possible to specify steel parabolic springs on the front axle and air at the rear.

Steel suspension is available as parabolic or semi-elliptic multileaf, according to the operating conditions and gross weights.
