The new Euro 5 inline engines comprise three 9-litre units (230, 280 and 320hp) and four new 13-litre units (360, 400, 440 and 480 hp). All use a second-generation Scania EGR system to ensure an optimised balance of good performance and economy with consistent emission control and clean combustion.

In addition, there are three new Euro 5 V8 engines rated at 500, 560 and 620 hp. Scania SCR is the technology that achieves Euro 5 certification – an ideal solution for trucks engaged in haulage over long distances at consistently high cruising speeds.
