Tight schedules, urgent deliveries, heavy traffic, and access restrictions: multidrop distribution in a busy urban environment is hard work. It can be demanding and tiring for the driver and tough on the truck. 

This new 6-speed gearbox will make all the difference. It is a completely new type of gearbox with exceptionally high torque capacity in relation to its compact dimensions. Yet it is slick, easy and light to use – just like a car gearbox.

There’s a simple shift pattern and no range-change. Each shift up or down is quick. Keeping up with traffic is easy. Getting around town has suddenly become less stressful. Enjoyable, even. 

As with other Scania gearboxes, a long service can be confidently expected. Oil changes are required once every three years or 360,000 km. You can also anticipate a long life for the clutch, thanks to a light pedal with plenty of feel and an extra-thick 5mm lining. 

Less weight. More payload.
Other benefits include light weight to help gain almost 90 kg of extra payload and compact dimensions to leave space around the chassis for auxiliary equipment. There is also a high-torque PTO facility.
