Nottingham operator Hammonds Coaches has taken delivery of a new Scania OmniExpress 'Finesse' limited edition coach. Based on a Scania K 410 EB 4x2 chassis with Scania's 410 horsepower SCR-only Euro 6 engine and fully automated Opticruise gear selection system, the vehicle's specification includes 53 half leather reclining seats, centre toilet, drinks machine, DVD plus two monitors, satellite navigation system, Webasto pre-heater and Durabright alloy wheels.
Travel Star Gatwick of Crawley, West Sussex has recently taken delivery of another Scania coach. This latest addition, a 12.8-metre overall length Scania OmniExpress based on a K 410 EB4x2 Euro 6 SCR-only chassis, has been supplied on a contract hire agreement including full repair and maintenance and is part of Travel Star Gatwick Director Anthony Grace's strategic programme to replace part of his fleet over the coming year.
James Colbourne, 43, has been appointed to the position of Regional Sales Director – Scotland for Scania (Great Britain) Limited. In this role James succeeds Brian Shute, Scania's long-standing Sales Director for the region, who has retired.
Scania has completed the delivery of 253 trucks to Asda after once again being selected as the supermarket retailer's preferred truck supplier. The trucks are for the company's base, chilled and petroleum distribution fleets, with the base and chilled fleets vehicles entering service in December of last year and the petroleum vehicles following on last month.
