New Managing Director for Scania (Great Britain) Limited
Hans-Christer Holgersson has been appointed to the position of Managing Director for Scania (Great Britain) Limited with effect from 1 September 2007. Mr Holgersson succeeds Dan Hoij, who will be retiring from the role to take up a number of nonexecutive appointments within the Scania group.
Hans-Christer Holgersson brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Currently based at Scania's headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden, where he sits on the company's Executive Board as Group Vice-President for Sales and Services Management, he previously headed up Scania's operations in Latin America.
"As one of Scania's leading and most important international markets, I am very much looking forward to joining the team at Scania (Great Britain) Limited," comments Mr Holgersson. "My goal will be to build upon the solid foundations laid by Dan Hoij and the UK Network and further develop the range and quality of products and services Scania delivers to Britain's transport operators."
"For my part, I would like to thank all concerned for the interesting and rewarding time I have spent at Scania (Great Britain) Limited," says Dan Hoij. "I firmly believe that Scania stands at the forefront of the UK market and I would like to wish Hans-Christer every success as he takes up the reins to lead the organisation forward."
